Jason Houge (b.1979 John Day, OR) lives in New Franken, Wisconsin. In 2011 Houge received a B.A. in design art from the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay. Houge is currently assisting on and contributing to a photographic project called Seeds of Hope in which poverty is being explored from the perspective of local children. The images Houge is making with Seeds of Hope will be installed beside those made by the children at the Neville Public Museum in Green Bay, WI in June of 2012. Houge’s photographs have been published in a variety of publications. In November, 2011, his images of the 2011 Wisconsin workers protests and the start of the Occupy protests in Chicago were published at ResourceMagOnline.com. And in 2009, Houge photographed an essay about Hassidic Lubavitch Jews in Brooklyn, NY with David Alan Harvey of Magnum Photos acting as editor and mentor.
