  • Arm in arm, the organizers of the Women's March on Washington walked together in a scene reminiscent of the iconic images taken of Martin Luther King during the Selma to Montgomery March of 1965. Women's March, Washington D.C. 2017

  • Protests in Chicago began to take on the appearance of theatrical performances. These two women prepare for a funeral procession to Chicago's City Hall. The funeral is for the Bill of Rights, in response to an ordinance passed by Chicago's Mayor, Rham Emanuel, that imposed tighter restrictions on public protests. A political move prior to the 2012 G8 and NATO summits which has been argued to be an infringement on the first amendment’s Right to peacefully assemble. Occupy Chicago, Chicago, Illinois 2012

  • During a national day of action at Standing Rock, North Dakota, activists marched from the Oceti Sakowin camp to the shore just south of Turtle Island. The people formed into a large human medicine wheel for an aerial video being recorded. Meanwhile in the camp, Robert Kennedy Jr. was taking a tour and meeting with elders. • The corner of Jackson and LaSalle, the site of the occupation by Occupy Chicago. This corner is the financial hub for the Midwest. On it stands The Chicago Board of Trade, Bank of America and the Federal Reserve Bank. Ironically, Bank of America occupies the Continental Illinois building, a bank which failed in 1984 and popularized the term "too big to fail." Occupy Chicago, Chicago, Illinois 2011
