Protests in Chicago began to take on the appearance of theatrical performances. These two women prepare for a funeral procession to Chicago’s City Hall. The funeral is for the Bill of Rights, in response to an ordinance passed by Chicago’s Mayor, Rham Emanuel, that imposed tighter restrictions on public protests. A political move prior to the 2012 G8 and NATO summits which has been argued to be an infringement on the first amendment’s Right to peacefully assemble.
