Our team is made up of real people located in Madison, Wisconsin. We’ve honed our photo editing and post processing skills over the years by employing them in our own work and by teaching them to a wide range of students at the university level. Here at Jason Houge Studios we get to know you and the work you make so we know how to serve you best. We know not everyone is skilled with photo editing software, wants to be, or has time for it and that is where we come in: We help by doing what we do best, so you can keep doing what you do best.

As photographers, we understand the strict requirements and needs our clients need to follow. We have over 30 years of digital photo editing experience and over 20 years of post processing experience with Documentary Photography and Photojournalism ethics in mind. We follow ethics stipulated by the World Press Photo organization, National Press Photographers Association and American Society of Media Photographers.

Old Photo Restoration
We start by digitizing the original, then we painstakingly restore the image to recreate the look and feel of the original when it was in its prime. This service combines our Fine Art Photo Editing Service with our Art Digital Capturing and Fine Art Printing Services.
Classic Darkroom Skills, Refined for the Digital Age
This is not an AI service. We do not submit your work to AI companies or employ their services. That said, AI tools have been integrated into photo editing software for years. We use these assistive tools for denoise, upscaling and occasionally for dust correction. We are real humans, classically trained in both traditional and color darkroom techniques as well as digital image processing.
Turnaround Times
We aim to keep our turn around times short, usually within a week for most print runs. Large and complicated orders may take longer to complete.
