We’re the Specialists in Collection Documentation, Fine Art Digitizing and Exhibition Documentation

We’re trusted by artists, collectors and museums to faithfully document artwork including works on paper, paintings, photographs, textiles and sculptures. Our digital capture process is color calibrated to ensure the nuance and detail within your artwork is captured in high fidelity. We work with private collectors and museums for collections documentation and object digitizing for collection management, documentation for archive status and to help build archive databases and online digital collections. Artists rely on us to document work for portfolios and reproduction printing. If you have questions or are unsure what solution is right for you, we provide free consultations! Artists Serving Artists: How We Approach Documentation Differently

We are artist owned and locally operated on the isthmus in Madison, Wisconsin. As artists, we understand the sometimes strange and unusual requests an artist needs to make to bring a work of art to life. We have nearly 20 years of experience documenting artwork with meticulous attention to details. We specialize in photographing paintings, works on paper, framed works, textiles, sculpture, ceramics, 3D prints, installations, historical and archeological pieces, objects of Cultural Heritage significance, small figurines and toys. No project is too big or too small, whether it’s an individual piece or an entire museum collection, we approach each project with same painstaking care.

We Also Provide Object Photography and Collection Photography Beyond Art

We work with a wide range of clients for collection documentation, photo reprinting and object photography. We document objects, exhibitions and installations for regional Natural History Museum, Science Museums and Historical Society Museums.* We digitize new and old film negatives and slides from family albums and can digitize photographic prints and digitally restore damaged prints and reprint them. We have fun digitizing toys and other collectable novelties. If you want to have your collection photographed, need your exhibition documented, or have special film or photos you need digitized and reprinted, Click Here to tell us about your project and we’ll be in touch for a free consultation.

* Discounted non-profit pricing is available. If you’re representing a non-profit please let us know and we’ll account for this in our estimate.

Collaborative Documentation Photography and Digital Capture

We work collaboratively with you to understand what your needs are and how to best represent your work through our documentation. Our work has been used by Museums to build exhibitions and for collection management and collection status. Our work for artists has been used for print publication, fine art reproduction printing, art fair print sales, online and print portfolios, exhibition and grant proposals and grad school applications. We work with internationally acclaimed artists and local artists alike.

Turnaround

We aim to keep our turn around times short, usually within a week for most project. Large-scale collections may take longer to complete.
